On the afternoon of this Saturday, July 16, two new hitman-style attacks were reported. The number of violent deaths in zone 8 (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón), is rising.

The first case occurred at 2:30 p.m. in Sauces 6, in the north of Puerto Principal. Some armed individuals attacked a man who was allegedly drinking on the main street. The victim received some bullet wounds.

Later, at 4:00 p.m., another violent act was reported, this time in the south of the city. Some residents of Guasmo Norte indicated that some armed individuals shot two men near the Metrovía station. The relatives of the victims helped them and transferred them to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, the death of the men was confirmed.

At the scene they raised more than 15 ballistic signs. It is expected that, in the next few hours, the authorities will have more clues and gather the necessary evidence to locate those responsible for these acts.

On the other hand, on Friday there were also several murders in Guayaquil. A man named Edgar Casierra, who was in a lead car, was killed.

At 14:00 another case occurred, José Baggio was shot in La Chala, on the streets 16 and 4 de Noviembre. At the scene, a tricycle was inspected in which the assassins supposedly fled.
