The death of two people was recorded early this Wednesday (23), in Parauapebas, southeastern Pará. Around 3:37 am, the police were informed of a double homicide that had occurred in the Cidade Jardim neighborhood. One of the victims was identified as Robson de Paula Azevedo, 39, a municipal guard. The other person would be Giovany Gomes Nascimento, 42 years old, a friend of Robson, who was a few meters from the place where the civil servant was found dead.

The friends were stabbed to death by the occupants of a vehicle that was involved in a traffic accident with Robson.

According to information passed on by witnesses, Robson and his friend Giovany would have left a party house located in the same neighborhood and each one followed in different vehicles. Robson was on a motorcycle and had his vehicle hit by a white Celta. The whole situation was recorded by security cameras of commercial establishments in the vicinity of the place where the confusion would have started.

One of the security cameras captured the moment when Giovany's vehicle, an orange Renault Kwid, was driving in front of the municipal guard, when a Celta vehicle appears, at high speed, and runs over the public security agent. Even injured, Robson managed to get up and was helped by his friend who had returned after noticing what was happening.

In the images, which will not be shown because they are of explicit violence, it is also possible to see the moment when the occupants of the Celta vehicle get out of the car and go after the security agent. A third person even gets out of the car and flees the scene, a fact that the police are investigating whether this third person would be a victim who was being held hostage.

Robson and Giovany manage to escape on the Kwid. The two are pursued by the occupants of the Celta and caught up by the criminals, who get out of the vehicle and stab them several times with a bladed weapon.

Giovany tries to flee once more, but the killers manage to catch him. The crime was recorded on a security camera, which should assist the Civil Police in elucidating the crime, in addition to identifying the perpetrators of the double homicide.

The bodies of the friends were approximately 200 meters apart. Robson's firearm was located by a member of the public who handed it over to the 20th Urban Section of the Civil Police. A police inquiry has been opened and investigations continue to determine the motivation of the crimes.
