AMPANG - [UPDATED] A man died after being thrown from the high-powered motorcycle he was riding before falling from a bridge at Kilometer 22.2 of the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (SUKE) on the Hulu Klang side here, on Wednesday.

Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said his side received a report about the accident at 1.10pm.

"Preliminary investigations found that the victim, Ahmad Fadzil Omar Azaddin, 64, was riding a Ducati Panigale type motorcycle through a winding road.

"The victim then tried to avoid another motorcycle that was going against the current, but he then hit the barrier on the left side of the road, before being thrown and falling under the bridge at a height of about 30 meters, while the motorcycle he was riding was dragged into the middle of the road," he said in a statement. on Wednesday.

The victim was thrown and fell under the bridge at KM22.2 of the Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (SUKE) downstream of Hulu Klang on Wednesday.

Mohd Azam said the victim's body was found lying on the ground behind the fence of the Sungai Klang Smart Control Station.

As a result of the incident, he said, the victim suffered severe injuries to his leg and was pronounced dead at the scene," he said.

He said, the police are currently tracking the motorcyclist who went against the current and examining the closed circuit camera (CCTV) footage from SUKE.

The condition of the motorcycle the victim was riding.

He explained that the preliminary investigation found that the accident was caused by the negligence of an unidentified motorcyclist who rode recklessly and caused the death.
