A man was filmed by a security camera shooting at his ex's boyfriend inside a supermarket in Morrinhos, in the south of the state. According to the Civil Police (PC), the suspect, a 28-year-old man who appears in the images, did not accept the end of the relationship. A video shows the moment when, in front of children and customers, the man shoots the victim at point-blank range.

The crime happened last Thursday night (7). The footage shows the moment the suspect arrives at the scene, approaches the victim, starts a brief argument and then shoots him.

According to the police, the victim was identified as Israel Élcio Santos, 19. The young man couldn't resist his injuries and died at the scene. According to the police officer in charge of the case, Fernando Gontijo, the crime was committed in front of two children, one of whom was the suspect's daughter with his ex-partner.

According to the investigation, after killing Israel, the suspect went to his ex-partner's house, which is close to the supermarket. When he arrived at the house, the man shot his ex, hit the new victim with his fist and fled the scene.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman, was rescued and given first aid at Morrinhos Municipal Hospital. After receiving first aid, the victim was transferred to Itumbiara State Hospital due to the severity of her injuries and is due to undergo surgery.

The suspect was arrested on Friday morning (08). According to the Civil Police, the car he was driving was found abandoned in the municipality of Buriti Alegre.
