According to testimonies, it was revealed that the tractor-trailer units passed to one side of the crowd, and these trucks even entered the street without any precautions or restrictions that could prevent accidents.
It should be noted that until now, municipal authorities have not provided information about the absence of security measures and protocols to carry out the event.
Due to the incident, at least 12 people suffered injuries and three others died at the scene, so ministerial authorities and experts went to the site to carry out various investigation tasks. Likewise, members of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) arrived at the scene to carry out the removal of the bodies.
After the accident, the driver who was driving the trailer fled , so authorities are already seeking to find his whereabouts to put him at the disposal of the ministry and try him for the incident, as well as establish the corresponding charges for evasion of justice.
