Brazilian singer, Gutto Xibatada (39), contracted monkey pox and passed away months later.
Gutto was diagnosed with monkey pox in March of 2025. By April 22, 2025, he died from complications of the virus.
Gutto’s sister posted on social media after his passing (Rough translation):
"The first time he went to the emergency room, the doctor gave him a referral at home. Because he has this history of being asthmatic for a long time, this virus has been manifesting itself in several places. It attacked the lungs. My brother was left without speech, without vision, without touch [tato]. On the last day he spent the whole night badly, obstructed the entire nose, the mouth. My brother suffered a lot."
