A man identified by the police as Rogério Amaral da Silva was beaten to death in the middle of the street on Saturday afternoon (5), in the Beira Rio neighborhood, near the São Marcos Hospital, in Nova Venécia, in the northwest of Espírito Santo. The suspect was arrested shortly after the crime. The information was confirmed by police sources to the report. A video circulating on social media shows the suspect attacking the victim with a club ( images above ). The images are strong.

The Military Police reported that the suspect claimed he was in a hospital when he had an argument with the victim, who was nearby, and that she had threatened him. According to the report, he left the location and was followed by the victim to the entrance of a supermarket parking lot, where, according to his version, he was hit with a wooden stick. The suspect stated that he took the object from the victim and struck her several times in the head, stopping only when he was sure she was dead.

The Scientific Police reported that the victim's body was sent to the Regional Section of Legal Medicine (SML), of the Scientific Police, in Colatina, where it will undergo the autopsy process. Afterwards, it will be released to the family.
