A 35-year-old man, identified as Wedson Camilo, was shot on Saturday night (13) in front of a residence in Conceição, in the Sertão da Paraíba. The crime happened around 6:20 pm and was recorded by street security cameras.
The images show the victim sitting on the sidewalk, handling a notebook, when a motorcyclist approaches and fires several gunshots. At least five shots hit the man, who fell soon after, while the suspect fled the scene. Wedson Camilo was rescued in serious condition by the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) and initially taken to the Conceição hospital. Then, he was transferred to the Cajazeiras Regional Hospital. Until the last update, there was no official information about his state of health. The suspect of the crime managed to escape soon after the shooting, but was located and arrested by the Military Police, being taken to the Conceição Police Station. The Civil Police will be responsible for the investigation and must investigate the reasons for the attempted murder.
