An SSC candidate died after being gored by a cow's horn in Lohagara, Chittagong. The incident took place in front of Padua S.I. Chowdhury Girls' High School in the upazila on Wednesday (March 11) afternoon.
The deceased SSC examinee was identified as Sarabon Tahura. She was the daughter of Mahfuzur Rahman, a Saudi expatriate from Mallik Sobhan village in Amirabad Union of the upazila.
Tahura was scheduled to appear for the SSC examination this year from the science department of Padua ACM High School. Locals said that a seller had brought a black bull to the Padua Tewarihat market for sale. It was tied up on the side of the road. When the SSC candidate named Saraban Tahura was passing by on her way to coaching, the bull suddenly tore the rope and gored her with its horns. Locals rescued her and took her to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared her dead.
