An incident has come to light in Chilkahar Chatti, on Matihi Road in the Gadwar police station area of Ballia district, which has shaken the entire locality. According to reports, Jhulun Chaurasia, father of Nirej Chaurasia, set fire to a warehouse and shop in a four-story building due to a family dispute.
It is reported that Jhulun Chaurasia wanted his son Nirej to vacate the house, but Nirej kept postponing it every time. Out of this resentment, Jhulun set fire to the warehouse and shop that night, locked it from outside, and fled.
In this horrific fire, Nirej's wife Ritika Chaurasia (24) and their four-year-old son Dhiraj Kumar burned alive, plunging the entire family into mourning. After the incident, Jhulun Chaurasia was missing, but on Tuesday, his body was found under suspicious circumstances in a pond near a Shiva temple.
The police have taken the matter seriously and launched an investigation. Meanwhile, based on a complaint filed by the deceased woman's parental family, the mother-in-law and brother-in-law have been arrested. Police officials stated that a thorough investigation of the entire case is underway and strict action will be taken against the guilty.
