Marcus Jannes was a 21-year-old Swede, who broadcast his own suicide in front of the webcam via the internet, on October 12, 2010. He posted on message boards that he had health and mental problems, and that he would be willing to to commit suicide.

He had recently entered the forum and allegedly made a registration using the registration name "LurifaxFlux", stating that he was going to commit suicide by hanging, and that he had already swallowed 100 mg of dexophene and 1500 mg of paracetamol.

He said he had set up his webcam to record the event and automatically post the details later on an FTP server so people could watch his death.

Immediately forum users responded to his post, with words of curses and urged the young man to end his life.
Some forum members offered him help and messages of hope, like, "How bad can it be?" When everything is at its worst, it can only get better "...

However, other users posted messages saying that it was all just theater, and they didn't believe him, many wishing him good luck with his attempt to take his own life.
